Abstract

286,515. Newton, H. E. May 19, 1927. Sliding bolts.-The bolt A is operated by a bent lever E, one arm of which is pivoted at the end of the bolt. The lever E is pivoted to the end of a link F which is itself pivoted to a member G, fixed to the casing C, the arrangement being such that the bolt is secured in a shot position by the link passing beyond the dead-centre. A modification is described in which the levers move parallel to the support door and a casing is provided through which the free end of the operating lever and the end of the bolt protrude.
