Abstract

284,436. Drew, A. Dec. 13, 1926. Ladders.-An extension ladder is provided with projections F on the rear of the sliding section adapted to be engaged by a pivoted locking bar C on the fixed section, the lock. ing bar being cranked backwards to engage also beneath the rungs of the sliding section. Brackets L are also provided on the fixed section to engage the locking bar, and the actuating rope G loosely engages in an angled extension I of the locking arm to release it from engagement.
