Laying down materials, machines for; surfacelevelling machines. - Concrete is applied to a floor from a portable container 1 having a slot 2, the width of which can be adjusted by a plate operated by a lever 8. A vertically adjustable spreading-plate 3, which is provided at the rear of the slot, is inclined towards the surface so that its spreading edge also compacts the concrete as it is drawn over the surface. An inclined smoothing plate 4 is also provided at the rear of the spreading plate, and is adapted to be adjusted by a screw 10 and spring 9, or weights.
