Abstract

273,611. Sharp, J. Feb. 26, 1927. Folding tables.-In a folding table of the kind in which a table top 5 is carried by two pairs of pivoted cross legs 1, 2, each leg of one pair 2 is formed in two sections 7, 8, pivoted together at 11, the upper end 13 of the lower section 7 being adapted to coact with a projection 12 on the top 5 so that on lifting the top 5 the projection 12 engages the end 13 to impart a preliminary spreading of the legs. A carrying-handle 15, pivoted at 16 to the top 5 and provided with downward slotted extensions 18 engaging studs on the legs 1, may be provided. The lower ends of the upper sections 8 of the legs 2 contact with stops on the lower sections 7 when the table is erected for use. Specification 16864/99 is referred to.
