270,542. Harris & Sheldon, Ltd., and Mears, L. C. Aug. 28 1926. Pedestal stands.-A telescopic stand for supporting a glass shelf &c. in shop windows &c. consists of a tubular member 2 supported upon a base 3 and provided with an internal screwthreaded rod 6 which engages a tapped plug 4 in the lower end of a tubular member 1, carrying at its upper end arms for supporting the shelf &c., which telescopes within the member 2. Rotation of the tube 1 is prevented by a set-screw 9.
