Abstract

A froth wand (10, Fig 1) or froth wand attachment (11, Fig 1) comprises an elongate steam wand portion 12 having a steam inlet 13 and outlet 14. A steam channel 15 connects the inlet the outlet. A spoon bowl 16 includes a lip portion 18, with the outlet adjacent so that steam exiting the outlet impinges on the lip portion, deflected horizontally into a surrounding milk/beverage. The lip portion may be at an outer radial edge of and / or completely about the spoon bowl. Preferably the lip portion is provided as a surface of a lip 18. A lower edge or periphery of the steam outlet is preferably coplanar with an upper surface of the spoon bowl. The wand portion comprises at least two portions releasably attachable to one another to allow separation to expose a length of the steam channel. Preferably the portions include a part of the steam channel such that when attached together, preferably by means of a snap fit, a closed steam channel is formed. A seal may be provided between the portions.
