Abstract

A sheet can be folded to form the base 3 of a bag, and its adjacent edges 1, 2 sealed to form sides. One of the faces 20 can be longer than the other 10 to form a heading 8. The headings of multiple bags can be welded 5 together to form a block. Individual bags can detach from the block along perforations 6 due to a force on lip 9 of one of the faces of the bag below the perforations 6. The block can be enclosed in a flexible plastic dispenser whose edges 11-14 are sealed. The dispenser can have a central die cut aperture 16 through which individual bags can pass, and peripheral die cut circles 15 to vent the rest of the bag. The dispenser can be secured 18 to the header block. Ideally the bags have no handles.

Description

Description
This invention relates to the use of thin plastic sheets that are made into plastic bags with no handles for the use of carrying general shopping, produce and products. These bags are blocked together and formed into a pouch. The bags are dispensed from the pouch one at a time. As a bag is removed from the pouch, the bag opens.
The bag is made using a thin plastic sheet that is folded in half. When the bag is folded in half, this created a base. The bag is not folded centrally. When the bag is folded, there is around 50mm gap from the sheets forming at the top. When the bag is folded into this position, the left and right hand side of the bags are sealed. Tins creaLes a bag where Lhe fronL facing part of Ihe bag does noL meet the top part of the back of the bag.
Individual bags are then formed together in a block by stacking them on top of each other. When a stack of bags is complete, to block them together and keep them positioned, hot pins are inserted horizontally in the top area of the bag.
Under the hot pins a perforation is then inserted horizontally. The perforation allows the bag to be pulled away from the block. The perforation is inserted under the hot pins and before the front facing top of the bag. By inserting the hot pins and perforations in this position, makes a lip on the front facing of the bag.
The formed block of bags is then inserted into a pouch. The pouch is then sealed all four sides with the middle of the pouch reverse and front has a die cut out in the film. The die cut out is positioned that allows a bag to be pulled one at a time in this area. The bags are pulled from the lip area of the bag. The bag follows the die cut out that specifically allows the bag to open and open in a position that is narrow that can easily be removed by hand from the block. The poly outer container can be used flat to dispense bags. Another alternative is to position the pouch onto a stand or dispenser.
The reason for developing this bag is that there is a need for a bag dispensing system where the bags can be dispensed from a pouch where the operator can obtain a bag easily and quickly, and only one at a time, and that bag will open when as it is dispensed.
Other products of a similar stature tend not to have a block and are dispensed from the centre of the bag. These systems mean that the bag has to be opened by the operator and this is a preferred embodiments of the invention in the pouch with the block heading and lip. By the bag opening for the operator to insert contents will reduce and contamination of the bag having to be opened. On other systems, it is possible to pull more than one bag at a time, creating unnecessary waste and possible contamination. This system can only dispense one bag at a time.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure ishows the bag profile front facing. The profile on the bag shows the horizontal hot pins that keep the bags together in a block, the perforation to separate the bag from the block and a lip area.
Figure 2 shows the bag profile from the reverse. The horizontal hot pins and perforation are illuetrated.
Figure 3 shows the front facing of the bag in a poly outer container.
Figure 4 shows the reverse of Lhe bag in a poly outer conLainer.
Figure 5 shows a bag being dispensed from the poly outer container one at a time.
Figure 6 shows the front of the poly outer container with profile lines of the bag inside. The bag that is illustrated is the front of the bag.
Figure 7 shows the back of the poly outer container with profile lines of the bag inside. The bag that is illustrated is the back of the bag.

Claims (14)

  1. Claims 1. A container that is made from flexible plastic (17) in which thin film with no handles is made into a bag (21) and is dispensed one at a time (19).
  2. 2. A thin plastic film that is made into a bag (21) in which a sheet of film is folded and is sealed at the left (1) and sealed at the right (2) creating a base at the bottom (3), having a front (10) and a back (20).
  3. 3. A bag (21) that is made that when it is folded, making a base (3), the film is not completely folded in half, leaving a gap that makes a heading (8) where the top ends (4).
  4. 4. A bag (21) that that has a block (8) in which a perforation (6) is made into the film that allows the back body of the bag (20) to dispense away from the heading (8) through breaking the perforation (6).
  5. 5. A bag that is made into a block by placing the bags (21) on top of each other. When these bags are positioned into a block, hot perforations (5) are inserted horizontally to keep all the bags into a pre-formed block.
  6. 6. A bag (21) with a block (8) that is formed together with heat seal perforations (5) that has an area between the base of the perforation (6) and the front facing part of the bag (10) at the top (7) creating a lip (9).
  7. 7. A bag (21) that is dispensed from the block by pulling down in the lip area (9) on the front body of the bag (10) at the top (7) or in this area one at a time (19).
  8. 8. A bag (21)that is placed into a plastic container (17).
  9. 9. A plastic container (17) that is sealed at the left side (11), at the right side (12), at the bottom base (13) and at the top (14).
  10. 10. A plastic container (17) that has a die cut in the centre of the container (16).
