Abstract

A vehicle registration number plate protector and cleaner, comprising a perfectly clear film manufactured to the dimensions of standard sized United Kingdom vehicle registration plates or any other countries standard dimensions for vehicle registration number plates. The film can be in layers of indentical sizes with a tab on alternate sides to allow each layer to be torn off the registration plate one layer at a time. The film is self adhesive to the number plate and to each other when in layers. No residue is left on the number plate or the next layer when a layer is torn off. The film is non reflective and does not obstruct, distort or otherwise impair the reading or photographing of the vehicle registration plate.

Description

<p>SPECIFICATION</p>
<p>A vehicle registration number plate protector and cleaner This invention relates to keeping vehicle registration number plates clean so they can be read.</p>
<p>In winter months or during periods of heavy rain or snow some roads become muddy and dirty. Due to the weather and conditions of the road some vehicle's number plates (lorries, hatchbacks and estate cars in particular) become so dirty as to be unreadable which is an offence.</p>
<p>To overcome this the invention proposes a film or layers of film that are totally clear and will not obstruct, distort or impair the reading or photographing of a number plate. As the film becomes dirty and the registration number plate unreadable a layer can be peeled off so revealling the letters and numners of the registration number plate beneath.</p>
<p>The invention saves the vehicle owner from having to clean the registration number plate with water or liquid, or be near cleaning equipment, for instance when the owner is away from home or in a car park.</p>
<p>An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings which show the dimensions (although the invention could be manufactured to any size) and the tab on alternate sides for peeling the film from each layer and the vehicle registration number plate.</p>
<p>The film is either self adhesive to the number plate and each layer by way ofthe natural attraction to its self, air pressure or by a coating of adhesive. On removal of the film no residue will be left on the next layer or the vehicle registration number plate. 2.</p>

  1. <p>CLAIM</p>
    <p>I. A single film of clear material that attaches to a vehicle registration number plate and can be removed when dirty to reveal the vehicle registration number on the number plate.</p>
    <p>2. A film as in claim 1, in layers to be removed one at a time.</p>
