Driving-arrangements.-Speed conversion gear for electric motors is located in one of the bearing-plates which forms a gear box, the rotor shaft being bored out to accommodate the driven shaft. As shown, the bearing-plate 1 forms with the cover plate 3 a gear box housing speed conversion gear 6 - - 10, the driven shaft 5 passing through the rotor shaft 4. Any type of gearing may be employed.
