Abstract
A hand held tool comprising a hollow outer cylinder A and a solid inner cylinder B. The outer cylinder A is pushed into the ground over a weed using handles D and pulled out to extract the weed and root. The root is expelled from within cylinder A by cylinder B, which is moved by pushing palm press C.
Description
24 1 8584 Garden Lawn Weeder This invention relates to a hand held lawn
weeding tool.
The root of a weed needs to be extracted from the ground to ensure that the weed does not grow back.
The present invention proposes a small hand held tool that extracts the root of a weed out from under the garden lawn, powered only by a person.
The extraction of the root will ensure the weed cannot grow back. The unnoticeable hole left from the extraction can be left to grow over. Preferably, two handles makes the extraction process comfortable for the user. Preferably the palm press makes the extraction process comfortable for the user.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure I Shows the two parts of the tool separately.
Figure 2 Shows the garden lawn weeder according to the invention.
Figure 3 Shows instructions for use.
In figure 1, cylinder A is hollow and made from hardwearing metal. Two handles D are of solid hardwearing metal welded in place. Cylinder B is solid and made from plastic, at the top is a palm press C. In figure 2, cylinder B fits loosely into cylinder A to form the garden lawn weeder, ready to use.
In figure 3, is showing instructions on how to use the garden lawn weeder. Place cylinder A over the centre of a weed, push down using the handles D, to a depth of approximately 3cm. Extract the root from under the ground by pulling upwards using the handles D. The root is now contained inside cylinder A. Use the palm press C to force the root from inside cylinder A. Finally, dispose of the root.
