Abstract
A pipette bottle 1 comprising an adhesive thermometer strip 2 attached to the outside thereof so as to allow the temperature of the bottle's contents to be measured (see shaded area 3). The bottle may be made of glass, plastic, rubber or a combination of these materials and may contain water or an oil-based liquid. One embodiment discusses the use of olive oil which can be heated to a desired and indicated temperature by submerging the bottle in warm water before using the oil as an ear cleanser.
Description
241 644 Ear Cleanser The Invention relates to an oil based solution
supplied in a bottle, which is applied to the inner ear via a pipette. This provides a safe method Qf application, so aiding the removal and softening of earwax.
Such methods are known, but suffer from a disadvantage, as they offer no means of regulating the temperature of the bottles contents before application. Administering warmed oil to the ear in an uncontrolled measured fashion can be dangerous.
The object of this invention is to allow safe application of warmed oilbased solution to the inner ear, as warmed oil softens and disperses wax more successfully than cold oil.
The invention provides a controlled means of applying warmed olive oil to the inner ear. By providing a bottle with a thermometer strip the temperature of the oil-based solution can be regulated before application.
The bottle that holds the oil-based solution should preferably be made of glass, as it is a better conductor of heat.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings Figure 1. Shows a front of the pipette bottle containing an oil-based solution with an adhesive thermometer strip attached.
Figure 2. Shows a front section of the thermometer strip. I,

As shown in figure 1, the pipette bottle 1 has an adhesive thermometer strip 2 attached outside the central section of the bottle. This allows an accurate measurement of the temperature of the bottles contents when submerged into a container of hot water.
Figure 2. Shows a front view of the thermometer strip 2 which measures change in temperature to 5 degrees centigrade. The shaded area 3 shows the current temperature of the bottles contents.
The pipette bottle in figure 1, containing oil based liquid. This must be submerged in a container of hot water upto the bottles lid. When removed the thermometer strips show an accurate measurement of the bottles contents temperature.
Claims (5)
- Claims 1. A pipette bottle has one thermometer strip attached horizontallyacross the middle of the bottle.
- 2. A bottle as claimed in claim 1 is submerged in a container of hot water and when removed from the hot water will register the temperature of the oil based solution on the temperature strip.
- 3. A pipette bottle as claimed in any proceeding claim a holder for any type of liquid such as oil or water the bottle with an adhesive temperature strip attached to show changes in temperature.
- 4. A bottle as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from glass plastic material or rubber or from a combination of these materials.
- 5. A pipette bottle substantially as here in described and illustrated in the accompanying c rawmg.
