Abstract
240,935. Burdick, C. L. July 14, 1924. Workshops &c. plant, arrangement of.- A spray painting chamber is made airtight and air is supplied thereto under pressure, the air being screened or filtered and its temperature adjusted by cooling or heating, and provision made for its outlet in the vicinity of the spraying operation which is preferably performed in a hooded cabinet. Access to the chamber is controlled by two doors the latches of which are interconnected so that only one can be open at a time. The airtight chamber 1, Fig. 2, is supplied by the pump 6 with air which is heated or cooled by the coils 8 and screened at 10. The air passes to the work cabinet 11 and thence through openings 12 to the outside. Accees to the chamber 1 is obtained chrough an ante-chamber 2 with interconnected doors 3, 4. The levers 18 actuating the door latches 16, Fig. 3, ar connected by a Bowden wire'15 which is led up the side walls and along the ceiling of the chamber 2, the connection being arranged so that only one door may be open at a time.
