Abstract

A wall system or structure comprises at least one wall panel 1 and at least one biasing device 4 which, in use, exerts a force on the panel towards an adjacent or bordering structure (such as a ceiling) 21. The wall panel may abut the adjacent structure. The wall system may further comprise a wall 23, with the wall panel arranged in front of the wall. The wall panel may extend the full height and width of the wall. The biasing device may be a spring which exerts a compressive force on the wall panel, and allows for both compressive and expansive movement thereof. The biasing device may be calibrated to absorb a pre-defined load on the wall panel, and may further be adjustable. The wall panel may be laminated, and may compise layers which provide thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and/or fire retardation.
