The securing members 32 provide a baynet fitting by means of which the lighting apparatus 10 can be secured in the self-
rightable base 16.
The holding region 28 is of a frustoconical configuration which tapers inwardly from the fixing region 26 to the securing member 30. The holding region 28 comprises ribs 34 to allow it to be gripped.
The fixing region 26 is provided with support members in the form of radially outwardly extending first feet 36 by means of which the lighting apparatus can be supported on the ground. The end cap assembly 24 comprises radially outwardly extending second feet 38 arranged in line with the first feet 36 so that the lighting apparatus 10 can be supported at the connector 36 and at the end cap assembly 24 when resting on the ground.
Carrying formations 40, 42 are provided at the fixing region 26 of the connector 14 and at the end cap assembly 24. The carrying formations 40, 42 are in the form of eyes by means of which the lighting apparatus 10 can be secured to a suitable support, for example by passing a suitable flexible member therethrough and tying it to the support.
