Abstract

The membrane pump 1 is incorporated into the lid 2 of the container 3 and is actuated repeatedly by hand, causing a non-return air flow from the container via intake nozzle 5 and exhaust nozzle 4. The contents 6 may be, for example, jam, coffee, paint, glue, milk, cake, biscuits or cornflakes.

Description

Membrane pump incorporated into a container This invention relates to removing the air from a substance within a container by incorporating a non return air flow membrane pump. By pressing the pump down the air inside the container is sucked up into the pump, and then by releasing the pump the air is exhausted. Continue to press and release the pump, untill the pump will not inflate. When this occurs the air inside the container has now been exhausted.
The logistics of the invention are described by way of example withreference to the accompanying drawing.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1. By removing the air out of a container and leaving the product inside by the use of a non return air flow membrane pump incorporated within the container, is a new concept in the preservation of food and other substances for a longer period of time.
  2. 2. The membrane pump can be incorporated into containers such as jam jars, coffee jars, lunch boxes, paint pots, milk cartons, biscuit tins, cake tins,glue pots, cornflake containers, or any type of container.
  3. 3. The membrane pump can be manufactured to different sizes, shapes, and colours, to suit any container.
    The membrane pump has built into it a non return air flow, which prevents any air returning back into the container, unless opened in any other way.
