Abstract

The holder has a shoulder strap 1 and back strap 4 to support a mounting plate 2 onto which a mobile telephone carrier X is attached. Strap 3 is connectible to a belt in use. The holder is worn with the carrier located at the front of the wearer (Fig. 2/2).

Description

MOBILE TELEPHONE HOLDER This invention relates to a holder for a mobile telephone.
Holders for mobile telephones are usually in the form of protective case with a clip on the back to enable them to be clipped to a waist belt. Holders are also made for placing the telephone in the car. Belt holders cannot be worn when seated or driving nor by women if they are wearing a beltless dress.
According to the present invention there is provided an easily accessible unobtrusive telephone holder that can be used without a belt and need not be removed when seated.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows the shoulder-mounted holster type holder along with detachable mobile telephone holder.
FIGURE 2 shows how the holder is worn. Referring to the drawing the holder comprises of a shoulder-mounted strap (1) which holds a permanent base plate onto which a detachable telephone holder (X) can be fixed. The strap at (3) is removable.
Because there are many types and sizes of mobile telephones the base plate at (2) will be a standard fitting which will accommodate all sizes of the detachable telephone carrier at (x).
For comfort the back strap (4) is elasticated and adjustable.
All straps and harness are adjustable.
The telephone carrier has a soft interior to allow the mobile telephone to slide in and out easily yet grip the telephone when in position.

Claims (7)

1. The mobile telephone holder comprising, a shoulder strap with a mounting plate for a mobile telephone carrier.
2. The mobile telephone holder as claimed in Claim 1 has an adjustable elasticated back strap that is taken across the back of the wearer and around his/her other shoulder, and is clipped back onto the shoulder strap.
3. The mobile telephone holder as claimed in Claim 1 has a detachable front strap running from the bottom of the base plate to the belt attachment.
4. Parts 4 & 3 of the mobile telephone holder as claimed in 1 and 3 both have clip-on fastenings at their ends.
5. The mobile telephone holder as claimed in 1 has a base plate that can take by way of attachment of press-stud or (PTM) "Velcro"iany carrier made for any mobile telephone.
6. The mobile telephone holder as claimed in 6 has a carrier which allows a mobile telephone to be slid in and out, yet retain the telephone in position when not in use.
