Abstract

238,577. Hõusle, J. Aug. 18, 1924, [Convention date]. Ladders.-A flexible ladder consists of ropes of wire, hemp or the like on which are threaded discs of metal to support the rungs, the ropes passing through straps 3 stamped out of the discs and through holes in the ends of the rungs. The ends of the rungs 5 seat themselves in the discs on each side and are held in position by spikes 4 driven through the centres of the ropes so as to expand them to the diameter of the rung. Sleeves 6 of wood surround the rungs and are secured by screws 7.
