Knee-grips for motor-cycles. - Flexible pads are secured to the sides of the fuel tank by engagement with a metal ring or annulus permanently secured to or formed integral with the tank. In the construction shown in Fig. 4, a pad a is secured within a metal ring b fixed to the tank c, the peripheral lip b' being slightly inturned to facilitate gripping. The pad is preferably in the form of a hollow rubber shell with a core or filling of spongy rubber. The pad may be slightly wedge shaped in plan. Various methods of increasing the grip of the pad are shown. The ring b and the edge of the pad may be formed in the ring in which engage moulded projections on the edge of the pad. The ring may be provided with tongues or teeth or screws may be employed. In the construction shown in Fig. 13, the edge of the pad is shaped to engage an annulus formed by a right angled outer ring d and a shaped inner ring b. The outer ring may be shaped like the inner ring b; or the two rings may be inclined to give a dovetailed engagement.
