Abstract

A sweat absorbent grip for a table tennis bat comprising a hollow or recess in the handle containing an absorbent sponge pad. The recess is preferably rectangular or oval in shape, and the sponge pad is shaped to fit. The pad may be self adhesive for easy replacement.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
The benefit of using "Maxi grip" is that you gain maximum grip without adding to the thickness of the handle.
Using the normal sweat tape that wraps around the handle increases the thickness of the handle and causes the player to change his grip.
"MAXI GRIP" enables the player to maintain an orthodox grip whilst absorbing sweat from the hand, especially important for players with small hands.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Page 1/4 FIG 1 this shows a piece of sweat absorbent sponge. This will be Let into the handle at a depth of 2-3mm so it will fit flush and not to add to the thickness of the handle. It will also be about 70mm long by 15mm wide.
Page % FIG 2 The sweat absorbent sponge will have a self-adhesive back so it can be replace immediately when worn out. This makes it very simple to fit a new one.
Page 1/4 FIG 3 This shows a table tennis bat that has been let in to take the sponge. So it can fit flush.
Page 2/4 FIG 4 when you wrap a sweat sponge around the handle it will add to the thickness, most table tennis players don't like this, because it makes the grip thicker Page 3/4 FIG 5 When you use sponge which is let into the handle it will not add to the thickness of it, so you can keep your grip the same as you always have. But with the benefit of maximum grip.
Page 4/4 FIG 6 The in let handle can also be oval as well as the sponge.
