Abstract
A therapeutic animal coat with pockets sewn in the underside in various positions 1 where injuries and joint diseases may occur. A pain relieving/anti-inflammatory product can be placed in the pocket adjacent to the area of injury to help the affliction. The pocket shape, size and number would vary from animal to animal. A heat product can be placed in the pockets also for added heat 2 for the animal if required. The pockets and pain relieving/anti-inflammatory products are secured in place when the animal is in motion by the coat structure and nylon webbing with quick release plastic clips around waist and front chest 4.

THERAPEUTIC ANIMAL COAT The invention relates to a therapeutic animal coat Many animals suffer from time to time with acute injuries and inflammation in the joints and muscles. These injuries can lead to arthritis and other degenerative joint diseases. They are mainly kept under control with medication administered by a Veterinary surgeon.
Humans with the same conditions can use treatments in the home as complementary homeopathic therapy. Such treatments are heat/cold products or another type of pain relieving product.
The invention is an animal coat with pockets located on the underside of the coat where a pain relieving, anti-inflammatory product is placed corresponding with the ailments. The product is kept in the correct place with the pockets and is secure when the animal is in motion. A heat product can be placed in the pockets for extra warmth in cold climates.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which :- Figure 1 shows in aerial plan form, the pockets located in various positions in the coat: Figure 2 illustrates the hook and loop fastening of the pockets.

Pockets for a heat product for extra heat if the animal requires it 2 are present also
shown in Fig 1. A pain relieving/anti-inflammatory product is placed in the corresponding pocket adjacent to the injury/affliction. The pockets are secured together by hook and loop fastening 3 for easy, quick access shown in Fig 2. The coat is secured to the animal by nylon webbing material with adjustable plastic quick release clips around waist and front chest 4 shown in Fig 1.
Claims (2)
- CLAIMS 1 A therapeutic animal coat with pockets of various shapes and sizes sewn on the underside, corresponding to areas of the animal's body commonly affected by injury and joint diseases. Pain relieving, anti-inflammatory product is placed in the pockets to help alleviate these conditions.
