Abstract

A hoe implement 10 is joined to a rake 13 by two mild steel straps 12. The hoe part is perpendicular to the rake tines and parallel to the handle such that if the rake is accidentally trodden on, the hoe part prevents the handle shaft from rising. The hoe edge 11 is angled to 45{ such that when the rake is pressed into the earth, the angled part of the hoe can be used as a boot scraper.

DESCRIPTION
This invention relates to a combined soil rake and dutch hoe.
A soil rake is an essential tool for every gardener.
Used for preparing soil for seed planting.
A dutch hoe is another essential tool for gardeners, used for loosening and uprooting unwanted weeds and plants in the soil.
According to the present invention, by joining the dutch hoe to the soil rake in such a manner as to not intervene with each operation.
According to the invention, will now be described by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which.
Figure 1. shows rake upturned. Figure 2. shows rake in operation. Figure 3. shows hoe in operation. Figure 4. shows spikes positioned into the earth.
Referring to the drawing Fig I the Rakoe comprises of a rake 13 and a hoe 10. The hoe is joined to the rake, by means of two mild steel straps 12. The hoe has an angle part, bent to 45 11.

Claims (2)

  1. I. When the rake is placed with the prongs facing upwards, the hoe part prevents the shaft from raising when the rake is accidently trodden,on.
  2. 2. When the rake is pressed into the earth, the angled part of the hoe can be used,, as a boot scraper.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows A COMBINED RAKE AND HOE DEVICE COWRISING A RAKE WITH, TINES AND A SHAFT AND A HOE, MOUNTED ON THE RAKE, SO THAT THE PLANE OF THE HOE, IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE RAKE TINES, IN THE PLANE OF THE SHAFT, WHEREIN A DISTEL EDGE OF THE HOE, IS ANGLED IN A DIRECTION, AWAY FROM THE RAKE TINES, SUCH THAT, WBEN THE RAKE IS PRESSED INTO THE EARTH, THE ANGLED PART OF THE HOE - CAN BE USED AS A BOOT/SHOE SCRAPER.
