Abstract

Tools. - A trenching or like tool such as a staircase houser is made with a divided cutting edge by building up the tool of a number of separate inclined plates 3 kept apart by distance pieces and formed with cutting edges 7. The end of the shank is formed with knife edges a and chisel edges b, to act as a boring tool, and has an inclined face c acting as an abutment for the plates.
