226,700. Rein, C. Feb. 14, 1924. Cupola furnaces; slag, removing.-A cupola is provided with means for separating the slag from the metal. Metal and slag from a cupola A is deflected by a wall N to a side receptacle L, having a wall J over which slag flows to a slag receiver G and a lower opening E through which the metal flows to a chamber K. The latter empties through an opening R to the forehearth B.
