Abstract

A corrugated (or flat) board for a deck of a truck or a container is manufactured by immersing linen and colored calico into a glue composed of carbolic acid, formalin, ammonia liquor, hardening agent, talc, calcium carbonate, zinc oxide and talcum, drying the linen and colored calico, severing the linen and colored calico into desired size, heat-pressing the linen and colored calico into a corrugated or flat shape, and cooling the linen and colored calico, whereby the corrugated or flat board will be of high strength, acid and alkaline resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, insulation, and brightness and have colored patterns thereon.

Description

1 TITLE: A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CORRUGATED (OR FLAT) BOARD FOR A DESK
OF A TRUCK OR A CONTAINER This invention relates to an improved method of manufacturing a corrugated (or flat) board for a desk of a truck or a container.
It is found that the desk of a truck is mostly made of wood thereby rendering it impossible to withstand heavy weight and resist acid and alkaline. Furthermore, such desk cannot provide service for a long time and must be replaced after a period of time. As to the container, it is made of sheet metal and so such container is easily corrosive and has a short service life.
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a material for manufacturing a desk of a truck and a container which may obviate and mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks.
This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container.
It is the primary object of the present invention to 2 provide a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container which is of high strength and may be subjected to heavy weight.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container which is resistant to acid and alkaline.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container which is resistant to high temperature.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container which is of wear resisting and insulating properties.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a corrugated board or flat board for a desk of a truck and a container which has colored patterns thereon.
other objects and merits and a fuller understanding 3 of the present invention will be obtained by those having ordinary skill in the art when the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment is read in conjunction with the accompanying drawinqs.
FIG. I shows the gluing, drying and cooling procedures of the linen fiber and calico according to the present invention; FIG. 2 shows the way to severe the linen fiber and calico into desired size; FIG. 3 shows the way to produce a corrugated board or by a heat press; FIG. 3A shows the way to produce heat press; FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a corruqated board according to the present invention; FIG. 4A is side view of FIG. 4; FIG. 4B is an enlarged fragmentary view of FIG. 4A; FIG. 5 shows a second preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 5A is a side view of FIG. 5; a flat board by a 1) 2 0 4 FIG. 6 shows a third preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 6A is a side view of FIG. 6; FIG. 6B is an enlarged fragmentary view of FLG. 6A; FIG. 7 shows a fourth preferred embodimen-t of the present-invention; FIG. 7A is a side view of the F1G. 7; FIG. 8 is a working view of the present invention; and FIG. 9 is another working view of the present invention.
While the present invention is susceptible of embodiment in various formes, there is shown in the drawings and will hereinafter be described a presently preferred embodiment of the invention, with the understanding that the present disclosure is to be considered as an exemplification of the invention and is not intended to limit the invention to the specifice embodiment illustrated.
With reference to the drawinqs and in particular to 1 F1GS. 1, 2 and 3 thereof, the present invention comprises the following steps:
First, mix heat resisting and insulating carbolic acid (C6H5.OH), corrosion resisting formalin (CH20), ammonia liquor (NH40H), hardening agent, toic (3MGSIO3.H2SI03), calcium carbonate, mobile zino (Zno), and talcum (3MGSIO3-H2SI03) to form a glue I and then fill it into a pail 2 Then, immerse an appropriate amount of raw material of linen fiber 3 and a piece of colored calico 4 into the pail 2, roll up the linen fiber 3 and the colored calico 4, and transfer Thereafter, the binded into rolls.
After cooling, cut the linen fiber 3 and the colored calico 4 into required shape through a severing machine 6 and then transmit them into a heat press 7 for heating and pressing into a fixed shape. Having cooled, the linen fibre 3 and the colored calico 4 are closely connected with each other thereby providing required corrugated them into a drying device 5 for drying.
linen fiber 3 and the colored calico 4 are 6 board 8 or flat board 9 for the deck of a truck or a container. According to numerous experiments, the preferred proportion of the constituents of the q1tie I is as follows: Ca:rbolic acid: 47.2-52.5% Formalin: 4U.5-51. 5% Ammonia liquor: 2.3-3.2% Hardening agent: 2-3.6% To1c: 1.5-2.1% Calcium Carbonate: 3-3.8-'.Zino: 1.5-2.6% Talcum: 2.8-3.1% Further, immerse 38-41.5 kilograms of liner fibre and 40-43 kilograms of calico into 100-120 kilograms of the glue 1. The linen fibre and the calico are heat-pressed at a temperature of 180 200C for li minutes, or at a temperature of 200- 230C for 8 minutes, or at a temperature of 230-2600C for 6 minutes and then cooled.
The press force must be at least 5000 tons.
7 From the above process, it is possible to obtain corrugated panels and flat panels. The corrugated panels may be one as shown in FIGS. 4, 5 or 6. The surface of the corrugated panel may be of a single color or of colored patterns (see FIG. 7). FIGS. 8 and 9 show two kinds of products according to the present invention. As the glue 1 contains carbolic acid and calcium carbonate with heat resisting and insulating properties, formalin with corrosion resisting properties, ammonia liquor with easy formation properties, hardening agent with wear resisting properties, toic with brightening properties, zino with mobility properties for evenly applying the glue over the surface of the linen fiber 3 and calico 4, and talcum with smoothing and drying properties, the corrugated board or fiat board according to the present invention will be of high strength, acid and a lkaline resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, insulation and toughness. Furthermore, the present invention has a smooth and bright surface with colored patterns. Hence, 20 the present invention may obviate the drawbacks of the 8 material such as wood or sheet iron for manufacturing the desk for a truck or a container.
Although the present invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present disclosure is made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detail of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
