Abstract

203,975. Guillemin, J. Dec. 20, 1922. Body supports.-An apparatus for use with jackets, belts or plaster casts employed for the reduction of scoliosis and other bone deformations comprises a metal plate 1 which may be soldered to the jacket or be provided with plates 5 carried in slides 6, the plates 5 being located beneath the plaster. A screwed rod 3 passes through a tapped hole in the plate 1 and carries a plate 4 lined with rubber which ; is pressed against the protuberance to be treated. The pressure is varied by adjusting the screw 3 which is held in any position by a lock nut 7. Specification 22518/02 is referred to.
