Abstract

203,159. Withers, J. S., (Bastian-Morley Co.). Aug. 14, 1922. Block-form boilers. -A tank 10 through which a flue 14 extends is provided with a depending chamber 13 connected to the tank by a wide pipe 21. The chamber 13 is fitted with a spreader 31 between which and the upper surface 30 of the chamber are formed a number of separate radially extending water inlet passages 25 - - 28. The lower part of the chamber communicates with the upper part of the tank 10 by an outlet pipe 24. The underside of the chamber may be furnished with a draining pipe.
