Abstract

A soil cultivating implement comprises a plurality of soil working members that are rotatable about the axes of corresponding obliquely disposed shafts, the shafts being rotatably supported, together with a plurality of intermediate rotary shafts, by a hollow box-section frame portion (1) and is capable of concurrently supplying fertiliser and/or herbicide and/or pesticide into the soil by way of spraying mechanism (19, 20), opening plurality of relatively spaced apart furrows in the ground by way of cultivating elements (12) of its rotary soil working members, introducing rows of seeds or young plants into the furrows by way of sowing/planting mechanisms (18) and closing said furrows: The cultivating elements (12) are of S-shaped cross-section and extend in axially registering relationship with the oblique axes of rotation of the respective soil working members which axes of rotation are preferably inclined, upwardly and forwardly, to ground level at angles of 75 DEG . The spacing between the rotary shafts which are provided with cultivating elements (12) and the spacing between the sowing/planting mechanisms (18) is variable. <IMAGE>
