Abstract
A device for measuring force comprises a tube 2 loadable by bending stress with strain gauges 6 arranged along the tube for connection to an electrical measuring circuit. The tube 2 has an open end 3 connected to a fixing support 1 and is enclosed with a spacing all around by a sleeve 9 attached to the fixing support 1. A rod 12 is fixed at the other free end 11 of the tube 2 and extends in cantilever manner longitudinally through the tube 2. The free end 14 of the rod 12 projects from the open end 3 of the tube 2 and can be loaded with the force to be measured. Thus, the measuring body is protected from extraneous influences, such as moisture and dirt, by the sleeve 9, but the sleeve 9 does not interfere with the measuring body when measurements are being made. <IMAGE>
