Abstract

A letterpress printing plate is disclosed using a fibrous substrate with a radiation polymerized relief layer thereover. The substrate can comprise cellulosic fibres, (which may be dyed), and have a sealant coating e.g. of vinyl chloride-vinylidene copolymer. The relief layer is preferably formed from a liquid photopolymerisable composition.
