Abstract

A secondary locking mechanism 14 for locking a locking part of a locking mechanism in a collapsible frame (100 figure 1) includes a casing 232, an engagement part 41, a manipulation part 42a, and an elastic part (43 figure 3b). The engagement part is pivotally connected to the casing. When the frame expands, the engagement part abuts against the locking part to lock the locking part. The manipulation part is connected to the engagement part and partially exposed out of the casing. The manipulation part is operable to control motion of the engagement part for disengaging the engaging part from the locking part. The elastic part provides a restoring elastic force to the engagement part. Therefore, the secondary locking mechanism can perform secondarily locking effect for efficiently avoiding any unexpected folding to the frame. Various secondary locking mechanisms are disclosed, including ones where the manipulation part is pushed, pulled, or provided with a release tab. The secondary locking mechanism is particularly intended to safeguard a stroller frame from folding when not intended to.
