Abstract

A centrifugal spreader for spreading fertiliser has a storage container (4) and two spreading discs (7) to which fertiliser is supplied in use by way of outlet openings (10) in the storage container; the outlet openings being adjustable to various degrees of opening by means of closure elements (12) connected by links (19), to two levers (17, 18) pivotal about a transverse axis (16) by an actuator lever (32). The lever (32) is provided with a limiting abutment (22) adjustably mounted with respect to an adjusting scale (20) to act on the lever (32) and thereby define a maximum required degree of opening of the outlet openings and an overridable abutment (23) which is adjustable independently of the limiting abutment and acts on the lever (32) to define a selectively required lesser degree of opening of the openings (10). <IMAGE>
