Abstract

The saw blade has two sorts of teeth. A leading tooth 1 is relatively narrow, and cuts a narrow slot in the workpiece. A following tooth 6 is much wider and enlarges the slot cut by the first tooth 1 by removing material from the walls of the groove. Narrower teeth 1, 2 and wider teeth 6 can be arranged alternately along the length of the saw blade. The cut formed in the wood is of a stepped cross-section. <IMAGE>
