Abstract

A process for manufacturing 3- (4'-N,N-diethylamino)phenylazo- 1,2,4-triazole in a single step process which comprises mixing together and reacting in aqueous medium 3-amino- 1,2,4-triazole, N,N-diethylaniline, sodium nitrite and an acidic material.
