Abstract

Inner walls of living rooms can be decorated with so-called stripped or split stones or bricks which are up to now manufactured by only using the original side parts of complete stones, the inner part of such stones being considered as rubbish. The invented method and device offer possibilities to process the inner part of such stones, so that there is no longer question of rubbish. Main characteristics of this method and device are the use of steel or grit pellets which are blasted against the rectilinearly moving flattened surfaces of the stones as they are moved by a conveyor 15 past at least one rotating paddle board wheel 12. For certain types of stones preheating is advisable. The wheel may consist of a disc having a number of paddles on each side thereof. <IMAGE>
