Abstract
A method of applying a metal or alloy coating to a workpiece by gas atomizing a stream of the molten metal into particles which are directed onto a surface of the workpiece or on the replica of the workpiece to form a coating. The coating may remain on the workpiece or may be removed therefrom and subsequently reapplied to the workpiece and secured thereto (e.g. by brazing). When spraying onto the replica a coating is removed from the replica and secured to the workpiece. <IMAGE>
