Abstract

A method of producing activated mixtures of finely comminuted, preferably fine-grained to powdery components and consisting of at least one such component, which are intended for further process by sintering, and wherein the components are premixed, predried and/or dried afterwards, pressed or pelletised or simply left in loose form as necessary (e.g. minerals, ceramics, cements, metals), is characterised in that the components are subjected to a mechanical beating or impact effect of such intensity and with a frequency of preferably 3-8 beats or pulses within a time of 10<-2> to 10<-3> seconds that in addition to comminuting and homogenising effect, a change associated with mechano-chemical activation occurs in the fine structure and thus in the physico-chemical properties of the particles, in particular an increase in reactivity or an improvement in the diffusion and sintering characteristics. Comminution may be effected by a pinned disc mill or vibratory ball mill.
