Abstract

A vehicle coupling has first and second mutually perpendicular pivot bearings 7, 8 arranged for transferring weight from the trailer to the tractor through the axis of the bearing 8. The bearing 8 has one part fixed to the tractor and the other part to the coupling. The entire coupling is pivotably attached to the tractor about an axis 6 mutually perpendicular to those of the bearings. The foremost vertical surface of the vertical bearing 8 is situated nearer to the vertical plane containing said axis than any other part of the coupling which is above the axis of the bearing 7. <IMAGE>
