Abstract

An onion planter with feed and planting mechanisms is provided with a plow 19 for plowing a furrow with a flat bottom, the planting mechanism being adapted to plant the onions in the furrow and comprising a conduit 15 having an outlet 18 directed transversely of the direction of movement in use of the planter. The onions are supplied from a hopper 1 via an aperture, adjustable by means of a control flap 4 shaken by a rotary member 12, and pass through a driven feed wheel 7. The outlet 18 discharges into a space between mould boards 20,21. <IMAGE>
