Abstract

A rotary atomiser suitable for spraying crops with liquid comprises a stack of hollow truncated cones with internal grooves 3, 3a, 3b, spaced apart by a smaller numbers of ribs 17-19 mating with some of the grooves and held together on a central, stationary spindle 26 by thrust bearings 22, 29 at either end. The central spindle may be hollow with holes 32-34 from the interior to the exterior for feeding liquid to the cones. <IMAGE>
