Abstract

A process for removing a substantial portion of the organic and/or inorganic volatile substances from an odorous gas stream, which comprises passing said gas stream through at least one gas scrubber containing an aqueous suspension of biological solids in a concentration between about 50 mg/l and 20,000 mg/l and activated carbon in a concentration between about 50 mg/l and 20,000 mg/l.
