Abstract
200,370. Lecomte, r. H. July 14, 1922. Purifying liquids.-A composition for softening water, especially for toilet purposes, is prepared by adding water to a carbonate of soda with which boric acid may be mixed, allowing it to solidify, powdering the product and then mixing with it bicarbonate of soda, carbonate of magnesia, and anidin. Colouring materials, for example uranin or fluorescine, and perfumes, for example essence of vervain, carnation or sandalwood, may be added.
