Abstract
204,781. Gush, A. S. July 6, 1922. Corrosion, preventing.-An electrode laced in a boiler or other water container to prevent corrosion is supported by insulating material secured to a wall of the container, the conductor connected to the electrode and passing through the insulating material not helping to support the electrode. The support C carrying the eiectrode G is preferably made of one of the phenol formaldehyde condensation products or sytheses thereof, and is secured to the wall A by nuts D on the end of the support projecting outside the container. The electrode is secured by a screwed steel stud F. The conductor L passes freely through an axial hole in the support. A number of steel bars J are screwed into the body of the electrode. In a modification, the nuts D and the electrode are screwed on studs secured in metal sockets in the ends of the support.
