Abstract

10,066. Williams, P. E. April 29. Washers.-A gas-washer is built up of a number of elements a each comprising an upper trough with walls a<2>, so arranged that gas passes upwards between the elements and bubbles through the liquid in each successive series of troughs. The walls a<2> are perforated near their lower ends, and at their upper ends have flanges n which may be notched. The elements have closed ends provided with flanges which are bolted together to form the side walls of the apparatus.
