Abstract
28,826. Brooks, R. A. E. Dec. 21. Burners, mounting ; burners, regulating and controlling.-A gas-burner 10 for heating and cooking purposes, with or without a hot-plate 11, is pivoted on bearings at or near the ends of a gas-supply pipe 3 so that it may be turned up into a wall cabinet or case 1 when not in use. When turned down for use it is kept horizontal by stops 13 or by the edge of the door 2 of the cabinet. A plug 5, Fig. 4, at one end of the pipe 3 moves in a shell 6 at the end of the supply pipe 7 from the main, and cuts off the gas when the burner is turned back into the case. An auxiliary tap 9 serves to regulate the gas supply at the burner. In a modification, Fig. 6, the pipe 3 is fixed, and a sleeve 6 is rotated over a partitioned and apertured part 5 of the pipe so as to control the supply of gas. Catches are fitted to secure the door horizontally and vertically.
