Abstract

2611. British Aluminium Co., and Horn, F. Feb. 3. Wire couplings. - In joints for electric conductors a, b, and other wires which have a welded, soldered, or other metallic connexion, a strengthening-piece or splint c is placed alongside the wire at the joint and the whole twisted together, with or without an enclosing - tube d. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the stranded wires a, b are connected by casting a sleeve round the ends of the wires.
