Abstract

19,625. Cockburn, R. Sept. 18. [Patent of Addition to No. 4625, A.D. 1908.] Lift valves; actuating valves.-Relates to combined emergency and stop valves of the type described in Specification No. 4625, A.D. 1908, and consists in a modified construction of auxiliary valve. The valve B is connected to a piston A, which fits loosely in a liner C secured to the casing. The auxiliary valve F is of the lift type and is opened against the action of a spring F<1> by means of a lever G, to relieve the pressure above the piston and allow the pressure underneath to close the main valve.
