Abstract

11,052. Brown, R. H. May 26. Condiment receptacles.-A collapsible box, Figs. 2 and 3, having a powder-distributing device and an opening G, H from which a sample of the contents may be withdrawn, is formed from a blank shaped as shown in Fig. 1. The covering-flap F<3> serves as a spout. The pepper or other material contained in the box may be sprinkled through the perforations L which come opposite the hole M in the side of the box. The hole M is adapted to be closed by the flap K, which is nearly detached from the box. Instead of the perforations L being formed in an extension of the flap F<4>, a perforated piece of paper, cardboard, tin, &c. may be Fasted over the hole M. The sample-delivering device may be omitted, and the invention may be applied to non-collapsible boxes.
