Abstract
Ammonium salts such as the oxalate are treated to remove free acid with crude ammoniacal liquor which has been freed from organic impurities by a solvent. The crude liquor may be treated with benzene or one of its homologues, which extracts these impurities. Any solid impurities are removed by filtration.ALSO:Ammonium salts such as the sulphate, chloride, nitrate, and oxalate are treated to remove free acid with crude ammoniacal liquor which has been freed from organic impurities by a solvent.
