162,537. Dickins & Co., Ltd., W., and Carpenter, J. April 30, 1920. Gaiters. -A leather gaiter for laminated vehicle springs and of the type having one of its overlapping longitudinal edges'provided with a flexible strip of steel or other springy material, has the spring strip made of a curvature opposite to or more pronounced than that of the face of the spring it overlies. Fig. 2 shows the edge a overlying the convex under side of the spring, and the spring strip b, shown in two parts, is of opposite curvature. The inside edge e, Fig. 3, may have a beaded joint f to engage behind the spring strip to improve the joint.
