Gas cooking-stove hot-plates.-A gas-stove hotplate comprises a main frame 7 divided by one or more intermediate members or bars 8 into spaces which are fitted with interchangeable plates 13 which may, as shown, consist of an open framework or an apertured plate with or without removable rings. Those shown comprise marginal members 13<a> and radial bars 13b connected by ribs 13<c>, the inner ends of the bars 13b supporting the utensil above the level of the members 13<a> to allow free play of the flames. The grill may be provided with lateral burners 11, Fig. 3, the grilling-plates 17 being pivoted or the burners being' reversible for boiling; or a central burner may be used as shown in Fig. 6 with a boiling- burner 18 on the upper side, and plates 22 of heatresisting material may be placed above the grilling-plates. The main frame 7 may be in one piece or formed with separate front, rear, and side members, and hot-plates of different sizes are preferably all the same depth and of widths which are multiples of the width of the spaces formed by the bars 8. The bars 8 may be separate from or integral with the main frame 7, and the spaces formed by them may be sub-divided by other bars into small spaces corresponding to the plates 13.
